With Adam Gilchrist, Andrew Symonds, Herschelle Gibbs, and a couple of others who would have thought The Decan Chargers (Hydrebad) would end being one of the beleaguered teams in the first season of Indian Premier League? Even with Shahid Adridi in the playing eleven, the team couldn’t turn things around them. Everyone including the captain played VVS Laxman didn’t play sensible cricket and that made them put up a dismal show in the tournament and it was Rohit Sharma who saved the grace on quite a number of occasions but that wasn’t enough at all. Ultimately, they ended up being the last among the lot. Sadly, they don’t have any big names in this season and with Andrew Symonds on national duty, it is worries galore for the Deccan Chargers. Let’s hope they play sensible cricket at least this time around.
