Now with a pictorial punch

The whole world celebrated  ‘No Tobacco Day’ on the 31st of May and I came to know that only after reading one of the articles in the papers. Looks like, from now on the cigarette packets will come with a pictorial warnings but do you really think smokers will pay any heed to those warnings and give up the old habit right away? Well, I’m told that a stick of cigarette contains 4000 toxic chemicals. And believe it or not,  it is equivalent to the consumption of rat poison. I don’t know how far that is true however, that could be a nice ploy for chain smokers who find it really tough to quit smoking. Spreading awareness among people won’t do any good either - smokers, please don’t tell me you don’t know the harmful effects of smoking. The best way to put an end to this problem is to stop the production of tobacco right away! It makes no sense having pictoral warnings on cigarettes packets when efforts are being made to curb smoking. Ban tobacco, nothing else will do.
