Filed under: Say what? — Iceman @ 4:59 pm

We all know how intriguing Wimbledon finals will be, don’t we? Today’s match featuring Andy Roddick and Roger Federer proves just that. As always, Roger Federer is there but unfortunatelty it’s not against his usual arch rival Rafael Nadal. The two players are battling it out in the finals and as I don’t have a personal favorite, all I want to say is let the best player win!

The First Patient

In my previous post, I deliberately failed to mention the name of the novel I’m reading now. It’s ‘The First Patient’. Completed 90 odd pages and I’m finding it very interesting! Michael Palmer is an M.D. by profession, so it’s no surprise why he has used umpteen medical terms in his novel. However, as long as they are entertaining, I seriously don’t have a problem with that. Meanwhile, in the ‘praises for the book’ column, former US President Bill Clinton claims that he found this thriller novel very exciting. He also goes on to add that he thoroughly enjoyed it. Whether it’s true or not, I’ll find out pretty soon.

A intriguing encounter on the cards

Filed under: Cricket — Iceman @ 1:31 am

India will be taking on the West Indies in their final encounter today. Currently, India are leading the series 2 - 1 and if they manage to win again today, it will be tit for tat. The devastating debacle in the T20 World Cup in England last month is still fresh in their memory and if they go on to win this series, that would be fantastic! Meanwhile, the Indian skipper shouldn’t be shuffling his playing eleven often - he did that in the world cup and when he didn’t get the combination right, the team eventually lost its way in the middle. He should put aside all the other things happening in and around and concentrate on the game instead. For the time being, let’s hope India win the series on a winning note!
