Chairs were thrown, microphone was wrenched, and to make things even worse, explicit expletives were hurled at each other. Can you believe that such a thing even happened in the Jammu and Kashmi Assembly? And that too on the first day of the budget session? It shudders to even think of such an unfortunate incident in the Assembly. True the PDP leader, by doing so, has grabbed the attention and has also projected herself as a sincere leader but whether it was a publicity stunt or an emotional outburst, is for her to answer.

Haven’t I told you earlier how horribly Shobhaa de writes her columns? Agreed she has a good command over the language but who would love to read her articles if she goes on criticizes and patronizes people like this? This time Shobhaa de was ranting and raving about the poor Rakhi Sawanth in her column ‘THE SEXES’. Yes, it was about Rakhi Sawanth and her recent show on television ‘Rakhi’s Swayamvar’. I don’t understand what joy people derive by poking their nose in to other people’s personal affairs. A couple of weeks back it was about Meira Kumar’s appointment as the Speaker in the Lok Sabha and how incapable the woman is, the columnist claims, of holding that post, the week before last it was about Celina Jaitley’s activism, and now it’s about this Rakhi Sawanth episode. So celebrities, VIPs, or whatever you are, don’t make your name appear in the newspapers for any wrong reasons. If at all they appear, don’t be surprised when the article is about you in her next column. Fine,  leave all that aside for the time being, Wikipedia says that Shobhaa de had written a dozen books until now. But I wonder if people even read them? Well, going by the way she writes columns, it’s no surprising why her books don’t get critical acclaim at least a single praise for her novels!
