I took Aravind Adiga’s debut novel ‘The White Tiger’ this time. Instead of continuing Michael Palmer’s books, I went for this book mainly because it’s not that Palmer’s novels are so ho-hum and draggy, it’s only because of the simple fact that he uses quite a lot of medical terms - which is all greek and latin to me. Otherwise, he’s a fantastic author and has the ability to make the readers spell-bound by his writing. Coming to ‘The White Tiger’, it’s a small book and has around 300 odd pages. So I shouldn’t have a problem completing the book within a week’s time and moreover, it’s also thoroughly exciting, the readers say. By the way, you do know it won this year’s Man Booker prize, don’t you?
