England flatter to deceive
Coach Andy Flower was kidding when he said England could win sans Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff. No, they can’t win without these flamboyant players in the playing eleven. That is just evident from the abysmal way they played the fourth test in the Ashes. Bowled out for a mere 104 runs in the first innings, their second innings wasn’t any good either and eventually they surrendered to an innings defeat to the resurgent Australian team. Things don’t look favorable to the hosts to go on and win the series now, but reports that Andrew Flintoff is recuperating from his illness offers some hope. This is his last match in the test arena and let’s hope England bids adieu to him on a winning note!
