For people who would like to learn play the violin well, The Academy of Music Performance will help you fulfill your ambition. DVD violin lessons on how to play the violin is available and with Mrs Seidel, you can learn violin in a virtual private lesson in the convenience of your home. The Academy of Music Performance is a private lesson studio and school of music specializing in the Violin and Viola. Current and former students in the academy range in age from the very young to college age and above. The studio was founded in 2000 and has maintained an active student roster of approximately fifty students since its inception. Following the end of each academic year, students are challenged by participating in a solo performance at the Academy’s annual Violin/Viola Recital and Awards Ceremony. The Suzuki Method is a world wide violin teaching technique used for over thirty years. This step-by-step method builds upon learned techniques by using small step instruction of each skill, and reinforces the mastery of learned skills. The method is then coupled with a basic philosophy of ‘every child can learn’ through a positive and supportive learning environment. As a music teacher, Mrs Seidel says she combines Suzuki® Methods with music theory, to get the best of both worlds.
