Rome may or may not have been built in a day and we can continue debating that for another couple of years. But believe it or not, a temporary 720 feet bridge across the Cauvery river in Chamarajanagar district was constructed in a mere four days’ time by the Army’s Madras Engineer group. Over a 100 jawans worked to build the longest bridge across the river.
