Betrayed

Talk about stabbed in the back. Former Kanakapura MP Tejaswini Sriramesh claims she is threatened by the same men who brought her into politics. DK Shivakumar present working president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee had chosen her in 2004 after an astrologer had predicted that only a woman would defeat Deva Gowda. Now Tejaswini alleges that Shivakumar was planning to eliminate her and her family and that he worked for her defeat in the 2009 Lok Sabha polls. What a fallout!

It’s vacation time folks

Christmas and New Year would have come and gone but after a working for almost a week, we are ecstatic that it’s holiday season again. Yes, after a week of working at a frenetic pace, we are all looking forward to another adventure. I have almost a couple of weeks’ time before I get back to work and I will have limited access to mails. So if you need to contact me urgently, just leave me a text message and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can. Coming back to the topic, well visiting exotic beaches in the evening, is my idea of vacationing. I know even my colleagues will have their own family vacation ideas. Even though I’m forced to stay away from my laptop, I would love to keep you posted on how I enjoyed my holidays. All that once I get back from my holidays. I’m all agog to have fun and I just can’t wait for the weekend to come!

Rusty start for Men in Blue

Filed under: Cricket — Iceman @ 1:55 pm

On a pitch that was conducive to batting and bowling conditions, posting a total of 279 runs was always a challenging and competitive score. Setting 280 as the target, little did the Men in Blue know that an inexperienced Sri Lankan line up would successfully chase down the total. Sri Lankans were relatively an inexperienced side without the likes of Jayasuriya, Dilshan, Jayawardene, Muralitharan, Malinga, Mendis, and a couple of their front line pace bowlers. Now if this naive side can register a comprehensive victory against a complete Indian side, what could have been the case when all their key players were there? Team India can give a lame excuse saying the dew factor was one of the reasons for their defeat but Sri Lanka who are high on confidence after winning two games on trot are clearly the favorites.
